The Junkie's Favorite: YELLOWSTONE

Image
I was looking for a series to binge watch during my thesis break before I started binge-working on my thesis, and I recently came across this unique series. Simply put, toxic! But I can't stop. I love and hate this series. It reminds me of one of my favorite book genres: Montana, small towns, and ranchers. I've read Linda Lael Miller's McKettrick and the Big Sky Series, and Yellowstones reminds me of those books but is more toxic and dysfunctional. I'm still trying to catch up on season 3! I hope the television show lives up to the hype! Will gonna keep you an update about by feelings on this tv show soon! So, what shows are your current favorites? Comment below!

THE JUNKIE'S BR: LARK COVE SERIES BY DEVNEY PERRY

THE JUNKIE'S BR: THE BEST OF JUNE BY TIERNEY O'MALLEY

Image
The Best of June by Tierney O'Malley My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5Thousand Stars It's been so long that I've read a book that's really worthy of my time. THIS IS THE ONE!. This book has everything!!!Funny, sexy and angsty in one whole package. Very well-written. I've read the first of this series and that one was also a top/best read for me. The only downside, I wished the epilogue is a bit longer and I was hoping that it'll tie the lose ends, (like for example, Stacey ---> the bitchhh!!! I want to punch her! Drag her by the hair! She's much worse than Georgina the whore in The Passionate Bid ) and about the real condition of June. But anyway, the author has become my favorite now. I can't wait to read the next installment. Maybe Nolan and Gypsy's??? #alltimefave #totallydefinitelyhighlyrecommended View all my reviews Please comment for more book review and recommendations!

THE JUNKIE'S BR: STRONG ENOUGH BY KELLY ELLIOTT

Image
Strong Enough by Kelly Elliott My rating: 3 of 5 stars 2.5 Stars Quiet angsty. I just need Dirk to grovel more and Merit to be a little bit hard to get . SPOILERS!! Merit’s crazy in love with Dirk. If you’re a feminist, i suggest DONT read this. It’ll just boil your blood! There’s no equality in this book. Dirk’s ALWAYS hurting her. From their teens to present! She’s always SECOND in everything to the man! Gosh! I mean, she heard it straight from the Dirk’s mouth, he doesn’t want a relationship with her! I cannot! GRRR. And then he’s all that alpha male to her, forcing her to listen. It’s all about him! His first sin against her is enough for her to dump his ass and kick his balls! I cannot accept that she’s this crazy, pathetic girl always pining for this selfish man! Aggghhh. Plus, you can’t feel the sincerity in his (Dick, errrgg Dirk) declaration of feelings! I’m not convince. #ReadAtYourOwnRisk View all my reviews

THE JUNKIE'S BR: OUTLANDER BY DIANA GABALDON

Image
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5 ++ Stars There's just a part or shall I say many parts that is so disturbing for me (as a woman). But since I've been bewitched by the Jamie of the TV series, it's a top top read for me, quietely imaging his face while reading. Well, I've only seen the first episode before going to the bookstore to by the actual book and digging it. And when finishing the book, honestly, has put me into a halt on watching the series, for I was afriad to see those scenes (disturbing scenes , you know what I mean when you've read this). But, it was a long time ago since I've read a historical book, so I think I have enjoyed it. #highlyrecommended .... To readers with guts and a strong heart. View all my reviews

THE JUNKIE'S BR: DEFYING OUR FOREVER BY CLAUDIA BURGOA

Image
Defying Our Forever by Claudia Y. Burgoa My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5+++ stars! OMG Pierce is GRRRR up until he’s swoon-worthy. And my guess about this two after reading A Moment Like You , kind of fit, it so heartbreaking. But I believe, further down the road or further down the next books, Leyla’s dream of a baby boy & baby girl will come into fruitition. Her character is amazing and very fictional! AKA perfectly unrealistic, coz nobody’s that forgiving and perfect FYI. But im still rooting for them. These two characters are so broken yet for some reason they find each other as complement. Pierce is just so self absorb but he’s just misunderstood and taken for granted by his paternal & maternal side of the family, and being an a$$ is all he knew. Deep down this guy is a loving, responsible guy. He grows on me! Every Aldridge brother will make you fall amidst the beginning, you want to punch them in the face. Lol. I really can’t wait for the rest of the Aldrigde Brother! I hop

THE JUNKIE'S BR: WRONG TEXT, RIGHT LOVE BY CLAUDIA BURGOA

Image
Wrong Text, Right Love by Claudia Y. Burgoa My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5 Stars! To be honest, I didn’t expect too much from this book. But guess what, I’m super happy right now that I gave this book a chance. I though this is a typical wrong text gone right. But this was more. The characters are fun, complicated people - can’t helped loving these bunch! I’m seriously CB’s top fan right now. So much that I’m binged reading a lot of her books for the past weeks. And really loving it! So we have Persy & Chad or Persy & Lang or Persy & Ford.. which is which? I thought it was that complicated but not totally. The story has little bit mixed of everything, angst, sweet, romcom. It was slow burned. So next book is ‘bout the irish twin & the wicked twin! I can’t wait! #highlyRecommended #enJOYedyouToomuchLANG View all my reviews Please leave a comment for more of my favorite reads and reviews. Thanks!

Half a decade later...

Have you ever felt like you're in some serious stuppor? Like you're on the best years of your twenties and then you blink, and your reality is your single status and you're almost (two-step) middle thirties? Five year is a long time for a hiatus. lol. Sometimes, I find it difficult to comprehend how I ended up here. Although I intended to update my blog frequently, I ended up just leaving it. HAHA, but as I stated in my first post, I'm in charge now. I'll be more present and visible. I'll therefore start (again!) this new blog sharing to you what I did in the past half a decade. Well, I read, listened and bought a hundred books, travel to different places and eat a lot, as in lot! That's why I also gain a lot.... of weight. Also, I have traverse another career pathway, and took my Master's Degree. I also meet a lot of people, gain friendships and lost some. Tale as old as time HAHA. As I reflect, though it seems so fast (as fast as a bullet t
